Profiles in Excellence Celebration of African-American Veterans Event Hosted By AdvertiserAdm This Event Is Happening At Greenbelt Cultural Center (1215 Green Bay Rd., North Chicago) Sunday February 7th 3:00 PM to Sunday February 7th 5:00 PM Participants at this free program will hear about the victories and struggles African-Americans experienced as they moved from a segregated miltary to a military where they could become generals and admirals.  Speakers including retired admirals and commanders who will share their personal experiences. Entertainment will include the Blue Jacket Memorial Navy Choir, the Voices of Inner Peace Choir and the North Chicago High School Drill Team. In addition, North Chicago High School students will perfrom dramatic reenactments.  Free refreshments will be served.  

Guitar Hero & Wii for Tweens! Event Hosted By APLD This Event Is Happening At Antioch Public Library District Sunday February 7th 2:00 PM to Sunday February 7th 4:00 PM Boys and Girls ages 8-12 are invited to play Guitar Hero and Wii at the library.
