Have fun! That is the purpose of the Community area of this site. No business is being conducted here - no products are permitted to be purchased, sold or advertised within the online Community portion of the web site. Go to the Lakes Area Advertiser, Inc. (the owner of the Advertiser Community Marketplace) itself for that.

Be careful! Nowadays everyone must be cautious with his or her personal information, and that includes members of the Advertiser Community Marketplace. The Lakes Area Advertiser, Inc. has no responsibility or liability for choices you make that may reduce your safety, but we want you to stay safe! Here are some simple guidelines we suggest you follow: Do not provide anyone you encounter on this site with your full name, your address, your email address, your phone number, your workplace, your banking affiliation or anything else which could be used to identify you outside of this community. Similarly, do not post any information of that kind about someone else! If you see that happening - report it using the Report it! icon The Advertiser Community Marketplace staff will review the situation and take suitable action. Do not meet in person the people you meet online in the Advertiser Community Marketplace. If you feel you really must, be extremely cautious: meet in a public place and bring along a friend. Let others know where and with whom you are meeting. Do not allow yourself to be drawn into a conversation which has abusive, offensive or violent content. If you encounter anything of a questionable nature, do not reply - Report it! The Advertiser Community Marketplace staff will review the situation and take suitable action.

Use the Commuity area of the site for exchanging ideas, not products. Do not buy, sell or advertise items for purchase or sale within the online Community. Selling and buying is what the Lakes Area Advertiser, Inc. itself is for. If you see conduct on this site which should be in the Lakes Area Advertiser – Report it!

Talk to each other! This site has been set up so that you can do exactly that. Let others know what you are thinking and listen to what they have to say, too. If you have a question, chances are that other members of the community have either wondered about that or have stumbled upon an answer. Share! But stay on topic. We have organized our community's site so users know where to look for particular topics. If you think we need a new topic, let us know.

Be respectful of other members of the Advertiser Community Marketplace! We are all different, yet we are together in one community. Respect the differences. Maybe you can even learn from them. But fundamentally – let everyone be comfortable in this space. That means:

• No insults. Not even 'just joking' ethnic, racial, religious, personal or similar comments. Your joke may be seen as an attack on another person's dignity, and that is not funny. Remember: you could be sued. And if you see content of this nature, or are unsure whether or not a post belongs on this site: Report it! While the Advertiser Community Marketplace assumes no liability for the content of the site, we will take appropriate action to keep the community comfortable for everyone.
• No rudeness. Keep nasty, harmful, threatening, harassing, abusive, indecent or offensive content away from the Advertiser Community Marketplace. Again – posting such content could get you sued! And our lawyers want us to say again: The Advertiser Community Marketplace and the Lakes Area Advertiser, Inc. are not responsible for the actions (including the posts) of any member of the community and is especially not responsible for the content provided through an improper link. The Advertiser Community Marketplace does not have any control over any content. All we can do is remove it if it is reported to us: Report it!
  + Do not re-post anything which the Advertiser Community Marketplace has already removed or edited from the site.
• Do not ignore our Rules! We have set them up so that everyone can enjoy this site.
